What if Ae’s best riding is still ahead of us?

We want to protect the trails we love while creating opportunities for more challenging, hand-built trails. But we can’t do it alone.

The route forward is a strong partnership with Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS), backed by an organised riding community. We need to build trust, demonstrate commitment and work towards the formal agreements that can make sustainable trail development possible.

TrAel Crews: Where It Starts

That’s why TrAel Crews matters. Volunteer maintenance builds skills, strengthens our community and shows FLS that Ae riders are ready to take responsibility for the trails they love.

Trail building sessions are also fun, social and a great workout. They’re a chance to spend time with fellow riders, learn new skills and make a real difference to the trails we all enjoy.

Other trail associations have successfully followed this route — building an active volunteer base, working constructively with land managers and using that partnership as the foundation for future trail development. We want to do the same at Ae.

Every volunteer session helps us take another step.

Be Part of Ae’s Future

Our ambition is bigger than maintenance, it includes a cafe, bike shop and skills park (more on this later!) but it starts here. TrAel Crews is the first step; a strong partnership with FLS is the route forward.

Support TrAel Crews, come along to a volunteer session and help show what Ae’s riding community can achieve together.

The trails we ride tomorrow can start with the work we do today.
