We need you!
The Ae Bike Association is growing—and we’re calling on our riding community to help strengthen our voice and shape the future of our trails by joining as a member.
Why your membership matters
When we meet with key stakeholders, it makes a real impact to say we represent a hundred active riders who care deeply about trail development and local riding facilities.
What we’re working on
We are determined to achieve the same level of success as Glentress in securing funding. One of their key strengths lies in their ability to present compelling data on footfall and active riders to key stakeholders. We aim to reach this level of influence by leveraging our growing community and showcasing our active involvement in the biking scene.
We’re currently involved in several important conversations, including:
- Forestry & Land Scotland (FLS): About the bike shop and cafe, and trail‑building opportunities
- Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland (DMBinS): Aligning local interests with their strategic vision
- Funding and development partners: Exploring options for skills parks and community riding features
- Strava Data and Trail Counters: We have Strava Metro data and are assessing trail counters.
By showing our strength in numbers, we gain credibility and influence, which are crucial in maintaining and building new trails. Additionally, your membership supports essential expenses such as insurance and new tools, ensuring we can continue our valuable work.
How you can help
Please contribute £5 to support our work here
We’ll tally all contribitions to demonstrate our active membership.
Why £5?
Think of it this way: £5 is roughly the cost of a pint in the UK.
Buying the Association a pint helps us keep advocating, negotiating, and building better opportunities for riders like you.
Thank you
Thanks for taking the time to read—and for supporting the future of riding in Ae.
Together, we can make a real difference.
